GOSPEL SING
Calvary is hosting a “Gospel Sing” this evening at 7:00 p.m. Most of those who are singing will be from our own church family. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come. After the Gospel Sing, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall.
FARM FRESH RECEIPTS
Farm Fresh continues to donate one point to our church for every dollar spent in their stores. To date we have over $10,000 in receipts to be used towards free items for our church. Please continue to save your receipts. They will be accepted through May 31st. A box has been placed in the lobby for the receipts.
MUSIC FEST
Visions Plus, Inc. and the Drop in Center Ministry of Zion Baptist Church invite you to a fundraising benefit for their kitchen renovation project so they can continue their ministry to the homeless following December’s tragic fire. The benefit will be this Saturday, February 23rd, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Zion’s Whitaker Building, 528 Green Street. Plan to attend and be blessed by the many churches and musical groups (several from Calvary) that will be performing during this special occasion. A love offering will be received this morning for the kitchen renovation project.
PRAYER BREAKFAST
The North American Missions Prayer Breakfast will be Saturday, March 1, 2008, 8:00 a.m. at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. The breakfast will feature North American Missionaries Marisa & Pedro Sanchez accompanied by members of the Mappsville Hispanic Church. Cost is $3.50 per person and money and reservations are due by Monday, February 25th. Please contact Petesy White for information or to make reservations.
WOMEN OF FAITH
This year our Baptist Women’s group would like to organize a trip to Washington, D.C. for the “Infinite Grace Conference.” The conference will begin Friday evening, July 11th at 7:00 pm and conclude Saturday, July 12th at 6:00 pm. We will plan to leave the church early Friday and return Saturday evening. If you are interested in attending this conference, please call Connie Powell at the church office (399-1050) and have your name added to the list.
