ANNIE ARMSTRONG OFFERING

Our goal for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions was $3,000.  Because of the generosity of our church family, we have exceeded that goal.  The total now stands at $3,915.  With a little help we can push it over the $4,000 mark, a wonderful testimony to our ongoing support for missions in America. 

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY TRIP

If you want to reach families and grow a church, you must have facilities that are attractive and inviting for children and their parents.  Our facilities, especially the second floor of the old education building, have not been upgraded for many years.  The tile floor, for example, dates all the way back to the 1950’s.  With that in mind we have scheduled a visit to Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton on Thursday, April 10^th.  We will leave from Calvary at 9:00 a.m. that morning.  The purpose of our visit is to tour “Kidville”, Liberty’s Elementary Sunday School Department.  We hope to discover some new ideas that will help us to upgrade our own facilities for children here at Calvary.  Parents, grandparents, and all of our children’s leaders and workers are invited to attend. 

EASTERN SHORE MISSION TRIP

Mark your calendar now for July 13-19, 2008.  The signup sheet for the Eastern Shore Mission Trip is on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary.  This is a great youth opportunity as well.  If you have any questions, see Mary Cutchins (Judea).   

PREPARE FOR DISASTER

 

Join the Calvary Team already qualified for disaster relief mobilization.  Learn chain saw operations, mass feeding, shower, mud-out, and other skills.  Date:  Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, 2008.  Get updated if your qualification is over two years old.  Contact Mary Cutchins (Samaria).
